Nasir A. Choudhury, a leading figure of the insurance industry of Bangladesh elected as Chairman of Delta Brac Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. (DBH) in the 94thmeeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held at a local hotel on Tuesday. He is the Advisor and Founding Managing Director of Green Delta Insurance Company Limited (GDIC), a leading non-life insurance company in Bangladesh.

Mr. Choudhury is the Chairman of Green Delta Securities Ltd., Green Delta Capital Ltd. & GD Assist Ltd. He is one of the Sponsor of Union Capital Limited and Director of United Hospital (Pvt.) Limited and Managing Director of Nascom (Pvt.) Ltd. Mr. Choudhury is also the Member of Governing Body of Bangladesh Insurance Academy.

This year Mr. Nasir A. Choudhury was honored “Mother Teresa International Award” by Mother Teresa International Award Committee in Kolkata, India for his contributions as a Social Worker for past so many decades and in 2010 with the DHL-Daily Star “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his contribution towards the development of the insurance industry in Bangladesh. His other notable awards include: Lifetime Achievement Award by Asia Insurance Review as the first Bangladeshi Insurerand Golden Award by Jalalabad Association.

He has been a Director of DBH since its inception.
